Background
Unseen Beauty - Urie Learns About Halloween is a children's story I wanted to create, to sort of ease children into the idea of "spooky" vs. "scary". As with the other stories in the series, I continue to make this a gender-less book. Allowing the reader, to be anyone.
Halloween time can be a scary time for children, but a fun time as well. If you can show the child that the "spooky" things during Halloween are not always "spooky" perhaps the child will begin to understand the fun of "spooky". I try to give them a reference to certain items, as perhaps being in costume during Halloween as we too like to dress up.
Obviously, I have a passion for "spooky" things due to my other adult books. I have always enjoyed "spooky" things, even when I was a child. The thrill of being scared but having the knowledge of knowing I could stop the feeling at any time, with thinking about it in a different way, gave me control.
It is not a very long story and like the other stories I make it a seek and find at the end for candy, instead of fairies this time. I hope that everyone enjoys it. Remember, spooky can be fun!
