An Awesome Review!
Pictures of the Faire
The first weekend it poured on both days and was only 48 degrees.
The second weekend was quite the opposite, 96 one day and 98 the next.
The Quest
After reading Unseen Beauty, I gave the children a quest. I told them I had hidden magical fairy doors somewhere in the Fair. I then asked them if they had ever heard of the ugly duckling story? I asked them what did the ugly duckling turn into? A beautiful swan. I then told them the fairy doors was hidden in Swan Field (not until much later I found it was actually called Swain Field - so upon knowing this I told them to ignore the "i" - lol) Anyway, once they found the fairy doors they had to open them. Once they were opened, it would reveal who is the most Unique Unseen Beauty In All Of The Land! Once they found out who it was, they were to come back to me and tell me who it is. When they did, I would give them something that they would have to teach a Unicorn to fly. It was a HUGE success!!! The kids would come running back through the field screaming, "I know! I know!" Then breathless they would tell me, "It's me!" My husband and I got such a kick at seeing them so excited over their little quest.

A reading at the Goddard School... Children Enjoy a Magical Read-Aloud from Guest Reader, Tammy Vreeland September 13, 2019 / As the author of Unseen Beauty, Tammy was dressed as a fairy queen, where she sat in between two fairies and in front of a forest backdrop, bringing the book to life for the children to see and hear. Children at the Goddard School located in Toms River, Route 70, enjoyed a theatrical read-aloud by a special guest reader, Tammy Vreeland. As the author of Unseen Beauty, Tammy was dressed as a fairy queen, where she sat in between two fairies and in front of a forest backdrop, bringing the book to life for the children to see and hear. Her story featured unicorns which were used as symbolism for children to understand that it is good to be different and unique. They ended the read-aloud by crowning each child to emphasize that each person is special in their own way.
